KSEA-NE is a recognized branch of the national Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA) located in Washington, D.C. It is a non-profit professional organization with the intent to promote the application of science and technology to the general welfare of society, foster international cooperation, especially between the U.S. and Korea, and help Korean-American scientists and engineers develop their full career potentials.

KSEA New England Chapter Fall 2026 Symposium on Advanced Materials

Date & Time:    Saturday November 14th, 9am-1pm                           

Venue:              Room 136, Science and Technology Center. 4 Colby St. Medford, MA 02155                        

Parking:   Limited number of free street parking available around the building.
Parking instructions will be provided to participants.                                

Lunch:           Morning coffee and lunch will be provided.                         

Registration:     Free, due 8pm Friday October 30th 2026 for food count

Abstract:  Junior researchers (postdoctoral scholars & junior faculty within 10 years of Ph.D.) working in the broad area of advanced and soft materials field and interested in presenting a research talk are encouraged to email an abstract in MS Word document (200 word limit) format to NE Chapter president Prof. Hyunmin Yi (hyunmin.yi@tufts.edu) by midnight Wednesday October 28th.                  

KSEA membership: Not required; annual membership fee will be reimbursed for participants who become members during November 1 – 15 upon submission of membership due receipts.

§  9-10am   Keynote talk by Professor Jay Park 9-10am

§  10-12am Up to four 30 min (20min talk, 10min Q&A) presentations by
                  selected participants

§  noon       Lunch

Presenters will receive $100 honorarium.
